On July 24th, Capitol Collegiate lost a valuable member of our school community. Maggie Weston was a Founding Board Member of the school, leading the charge to charter the school and ensure that excellent options were available to students in the Sacramento community. A colleague of Maggie noted, “I had the privilege of teaching with Maggie, where she was universally respected and admired by the students and staff.”
At CCA, Maggie has fiercely advocated for the students of Sacramento, and for the success of our school. The Capitol Collegiate family is forever indebted to Maggie for her service and her dedication to our students. A scholarship is being set-up in her honor, in acknowledgment of her firm belief that all children can succeed when given the opportunity. She will be dearly missed by the Capitol Collegiate community and the students whom she touched over the years.
